Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at the airport and transfer to accommodation. Tour presentation.

Day 2: The water

Route of the water, San Andrés – The Garoé – Valverde

9 km, +150 -550, 3 hours

Past, present and future of the water in the island of El Hierro … from San Andrés, walking past El Garoé and its water tanks, the forest of Valverde, the Hydro-Eolic Plant … till the arrival at “La Villa”; visit to Casa de Las Quinteras; visit to Las Playas.

Day 3: The "Mudadas"

San Andrés – Jinama – Candelaria

7 km, +150 – 900, 4 hours

A trail of great naturalistic and ethnographic interest, scene of the traditional “mudada” from the villages of Azofa to the Valle del Golfo; visit to Punta Grande, La Maceta and the Lagartario and Guinea Eco-museum (optional).

Day 4: The "Volcanos"

Los Roques – El Tacorón

7 km, +100 -350, 3 hours

A geological approach walking between the volcanic cones forming the “Lajiales” lava flows, one of the most significant natural landscapes of the youngest island of the archipelago; visit to Los Lajiales, the Volcanologic Centre and the Mirador de Las Playas.

Day 5: The Forests

El Morcillo – Malpaso – Hoya del Pino

10 km, +500 – 450, 4,30

From Hoya del Morcillo to Hoya del Pino passing through the highest peak of the island, the Malpaso: a walk through the forests of Canary Pine and Fayal Brezal; visit to the Pozo de la Salud and Charco Azul.

Day 6: The end of the world

Sabinosa-Mirador de Bascos-El Sabinar-Ermita de la Virgen

7 km, +550 -200, 4 hours

From the village of Sabinosa to the western extremity of the island and Spain through the enchanted forest of the Sabine shaped by the trade winds; visit to the Orchilla Lighthouse and Mirador del Lomo Negro.

Day 7: Transfer

Transfer to airport and departure.
