Directed to local culture, geology, history and nature lovers who want an organized trip combining guided walking excursions with the freedom to discover the island at your leisure … We provide a rental car to continue exploring the island when you finish the daily walks and you can experience 2 different types of accommodation: rural house and apartment with sea view.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at the airport/port, welcome, rental car delivery and transfer to accommodation.
Day 2: The Water
Tiñor – Charcas de Tiñor – El Garoé – Tifirabe – Tiñor (9 km, +300 -350, 4 hours)
Past, present and future of the water in the island of El Hierro … from the small hamlet of Tiñor, walking past El Garoé and its water tanks, the forest of Valverde, the Hidro-Eolic Plant … and returning to Tiñor.

Day 3: The Pinewood
El Pinar – Cueva del Mocán – Pino Piloto – El Morcillo – El Pinar (11 km, +300 -300, 5 hours)
From the Mirador de Tanajara overlooking the village of El Pinar, crossing the southern vineyards, we will go into the Canarian pine forest that dominates the southern slope of the island.
This pine forest will reveal to us the link it has with the volcanic terrain, surprising us with what it hides in its heart and with exciting views from the highest points of our route.

Day 4: The Tanganasoga
Hoya del Pino – Camino de los Cazadores – Tanganasoga – El Creal – Hoya del Pino (13 km, +300 –300, 4 hours)
A walk in the Laurisilva forest of the island … from Hoya del Pino, through the rain forest … walking by the Tanganasoga volcano and the forest nursery of El Creal … enjoying amazing views.

Day 5: “Las Sabinas”
Santuario de La Virgen – Mirador de Bascos – El Sabinar – Santuario (9 km, +300 -300, 4 hours)
Junipers with incredible forms shaped by the Trade Winds … walking up from the Sanctuary on the “Camino de La Virgen”, passing by the Mirador de Bascos and the enchanted forest of Sabinar … and back to the Sanctuary.

Day 6: The Volcanos
El Pinar – Los Roques – El Tacorón (8 km, +100 -750, 3 hours)
A walk with a geological approach … from the village of El Pinar and the traditional vineyards … walking between the volcanic cones forming the “Lajiales” lava flows, one of the most significant natural landscapes of the youngest island of the archipelago.

Transfer to the airport and departure.

Material needed
It is recommended to wear appropriate clothing (layered, that is, protect our body from possible weather conditions and keep it dry at all times by combining three different types of garments), comfortable and strong boots, raincoat, fine fleece lining and / or thick (depending on the season), hat, backpack, trekking poles, canteen, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera, first aid kit.
