Payment

50% deposit upon booking confirmation; full balance due 28 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation by the customer

You are entitled to an 80% refund of your deposit if you give us more than 28 days’ notice of your intention to cancel; a 70% refund of the total cost if you give us between 28 and 14 days’ notice of your intention to cancel; a 30% refund of the total cost if you give us less between 14 and 7 days’ notice of your intention to cancel. If the reason for your cancellation is covered by your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.

Cancellation by Atlantidea

We reserve the right to alter or cancel all or part of the excursion/trip in the event of events beyond the control of Atlantidea Hiking and Excursions. Reasons for doing so may include, but are not limited to, force majeure, such as extreme adverse weather conditions or weather warnings, natural disasters, strikes or civil unrest, terrorist activity, fires, floods, and similar events. Cancellations due to force majeure will not result in refunds. For reschedulable and/or recurring activities, participants may be offered an alternative date based on Atlantidea’s needs and availability.

Insurance

Atlantidea has a civil liability policy with Lloyd’s Seguros, which covers up to €602,000 per incident and per victim. Another insurance policy with AXA Seguros is for accidents, which covers €5,000 for death, €10,000 for permanent disability, €12,000 for medical and hospital expenses, and €12,000 for other expenses, including rescue. We recommend that you purchase comprehensive insurance coverage for cancellations, personal luggage, cash, medical expenses, personal accidents, and civil liability before traveling. We do not accept any responsibility for the theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings at any time during your trip.

Your obligations and responsibilities

You must inform us in writing of any medical condition requiring care or medication before your trip begins. By booking with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any damage or loss must be made directly to the owner at the time. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for settling any claims (including legal fees) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions.

Climatic conditions

Under no circumstances can we be held responsible for weather conditions. We do not accept any liability for weather conditions that may affect the delivery and implementation of our itinerary.
